How do I start off?

There is a picture that shows a heart carved around couples, such as, Apollo and Daphne, Cupid and Psyche, Venus and Adonis, Pygmalion and Galatea, Orpheus and Eurydice, and Hero and Leander. But there is just a heart carved around Narcissus' name. I am supposed to explain the humor in this cartoon and I understand what it is, but I am having trouble starting my paragraph off. The humor is that Narcissus loves himself. Can you help me start off my paragraph and I'll do the rest?

How do I start off?
Try opening with a quote on love from a song or a play or novel. You can do a search on " quotes on love". Here is one from the Bible:

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends- John 15 : 13. This implies a commitment to others and not our own self.

Good luck.
Reply:how about this:

How do I love me? Let me count the ways....
Reply:Two in a heart, two in a heart, two in a heart, one in a heart, two in a heart...

One in a heart?

I've heard of love being blind, but not being able to count either?

Oh, it's just Narcissus looking at the one he loves the most again - himself.
Reply:Not sure what this is for, but I kind of like starting it with sarcasm. So my input is "Ahh, what better love than love for one's self"
Reply:I like the beasts answer
Reply:Is this supposed to be a comparison and contrast? I don't find it funny that Narcissus loves himself, maybe ironic but not humorous at all...I understand the picture, but could you give more details on the assignment?
Reply:He stared at his reflection in the mirror. It was perfect in every way. He flexed his scrawny biceps, patted his beer gut and burped. He admired his comb over.

Heh, that bad enough?

-grin-

Reply:A man once took "Love thy self" too far. One has to wonder if he also argued and talked to himself and if so, how did he determine who was right?
Reply:the best place to start any project is the beginning....
