The character is male, in the age range of 17-22 (His exact age makes little to no impact on the story or his personality) He is one of only two characters in a play I'm writing. Basically, he's the good guy.
The other character is a female whom I've named "Echo" because she is completely vapid. (Not named after the Echo of Echo and Narcissus, but rather because she is as substance-less and superficial as an echo.) I'm going to have to explain this broadly, because it's highly conceptual, but bare with me- Echo has brought upon herself a great punishment through her own vanity and selfishness. This is the greatest punishment there could be, and it fits the crime. She is given the option to have someone else share her punishment (without their consent) because having another person with her will make her punishment more bareable- but for the person she chooses, it's pretty much like being given the worst punishment there is for no reason what so ever.
