What do u think this poem means?

one narcissus among the ordinary beutiful flowers,

one unlike all the others! she pulled,

stooped to pull harder-

when, sprung out of the earth on his glittering

terrible carriage, he claimed his due.

it is finished. no one heard her.

no one! she had stayed from the herd.

What do u think this poem means?
It sounds like a poem about a murder or rape. A girl who stands out from the usual "ordinary beautiful" girls and but standing out to much, was noticed by a man. I take it that the carriage is his vehicle and claiming his due is her life. She lost her life because she left the safety of the "herd" to try to be different.
Reply:A woman finds a man who is beautiful, but loves only himself. She worked so hard to love him, that when he gave in to her attempts, in all his gorgeous glory, he (claimed his due... either killed her or did a very bad [dirty] thing) and then noone could help her or save her, since she strayed from the herd (did something noone else had done before) or wanted something more than the usual.
Reply:Sounds like the story of a someone who falls in love with someone because they are different. Then, one of them gets abused in the relationship by the other, and the abusee left and is keeping quiet.

Don't send this to a girl, because it almost sounds like a rape situation. Just my advice.
Reply:It could be describing an animal eating the flowers, until it didn't notice that it had strayed (lost) from the herd (group of animals). This is the literal meaning of the poem.
Reply:I think it has to do with a man's inner struggle with his homosexuality and the rage he has over his inner desires. He justs wants some man lovin.
Reply:Sorry but its boreing. I couldnt follow. I have no idea what it means.
Reply:It's too hard to tell but maybe it's about a girl that been love by this guy but, she die.... I guess!
Reply:it describes how people who have an extreme ego get nowhere in life and they keep failing but discover that too late
Reply:Maybe calling for help??
