Reply:I have many books on Greek mythology and I have to agree with those other two answers-Edith Hamilton's "Mythology" is definitely the best and easiest to understand about the important points on Greek mythology!
Reply:Bullfinch's "Mythology" is very thorough and readable, as is Edith Hamilton's book, though the title escapes me at the moment.
Try the public library near you for those two authors before you make an investment.
Reply:Robert Graves "The Greek Myths"
Edith Hamilton "Mythology"
Reply:Thomas Bullfinch's "The Age Of Fable" is a good one. Robert Graves "The Greek Myths' is more technical but is comprehensive. It explains the myths with extensive footnotes. Gustav Schwab's "Gods and Heroes of Ancient Greece" is more readable than many such books. Edith Hamilton's "Mythology" is used as a reference in some college classes, but it has briefer versions of the tales than the others I list.
Reply:Edith Hamilton's "Mythology" is good. I was reading it last night!
